Pattinson is a friendly place and everyone is welcome. You can pop in anytime to have a cup of tea, chat about life or share a problem – there’s always someone around to chat and to listen.
Tina’s story: “I felt really nervous when I first came to Pattinson House – cos I wasn’t really used to be involved in anything like that, and the people who came along hadn’t really mixed with each other before and I was worried how it would work out. But once I started getting to know people, it was easier, and then I volunteered to cook. I’ve always loved cooking and making dinners at home. Having a role at Pattinson has felt really good – like I can give something back to the community. I got my Food Hygiene qualification, and I think it has given me a new sense of confidence for my future. Some people didn’t used to talk, and some people who come never even went out of their houses before - Pattinson House is making a massive difference in our community.”
